Connor Bradley says it’s the “stuffs of dreams” to help Northern Ireland for the World Cup.
The 21-year-old, who can win the Premier League winner at the end of the week with Liverpool, has become a key figure for Michael O’Neill.
While he missed his last friendly against Switzerland and Sweden last month, he is expected to play a major role in the club’s efforts to become the fourth club in Northern Ireland to reach the World Cup when qualifying for the 2026 Championships begin in September.
“It’s everyone’s dream,” said Bradley, who has been named an international figure of the year by the Northern Ireland Football Writers Association.
“We know how difficult it is because many of the Northern Ireland teams haven’t done that, we know how special it will be.
“It’s incredible, something of dreams. I hope one day we can get there and if we continue to work hard, I’m very sure we can.
Northern Ireland lost players such as Stephen Davis, Stuart Dallas and Johnny Evans due to retirement, the latter in international football, from their latest attempt to qualify for the World Cup.
On their behalf, O’Neier relied on young players such as Bradley, Xi Charles, Isaac Prais and Traya Hume.
“We have the ability, but we have to achieve that,” Bradley added.
“Obviously we are still young as it is, we have lost a lot of experience.
“We have to continue to collide and continue to progress, we hope there will be good things in the corner.
