Rangers are close to appointing Everton football manager Kevin Tellell as their new sporting director.

The 51-year-old has previously confirmed he will leave the Premier League this summer.

After Rangers’ CEO Patrick Stewart announced the revision of all clubs’ actions earlier this season, Telulle was appointed by Scotland to help implement some of the changes.

Telulle has been with Everton for three years after leaving his role as New York’s sporting director Red Bulls and former football manager with Wolverhampton Wanderes.

They worked with former CEO Mazerville Biley Davis at Presston North End and Derby County.
