Wembley, Old Trafford and Anfield are constantly welcoming football tourists on foreign coasts – but they are much less common in the Harbor and Town Stadium in Lestersshair.

So imagine that it is amazing when more than 100 Spanish fans participated in the match against St. Ives Town on Saturday.

The Spaniards were involved in a Spanish YouTube channel dedicated to English football, which has now begun to organize flights.

“Some of the local fans were very surprised. They may have questions about what 100 Spaniards are doing there,” said Alvaro Sanz, a fan of New Yorker Town.

La Media Inhlesa (LMI) was founded by Eli Ollart, who includes English football matches for Spanish fans around the world.

Since 2011, when the channel started its work, it has received more than 440,000 participants and in 2018 began to offer trips to the UK so that fans can watch the games live.

Mr. Ollart, who supports Espanyol La Liga, said the next step for LMI is to show not only English football but also try to join an English football club.

“Our goal was to convert a small local English club into a small local club with a global fan,” he said.

After talking to different clubs, Mr. Ollart asked the participants which club should join – and Harber, Town FC appeared as the fans team.

“I met the club at the club in September to get to know their history, towns and institutions.

“We thought they were a complete club with the right value to participate with our audience.

Harber and Town are seventh on LMI on LMI’s YouTube, giving Spanish fans the opportunity to become the club’s “without affiliation”.

The club, which has been named bees, has already imagined reaching the second round of the FA Cup for the first time and the former Brazilian Sandro match for them.

The club’s president Peter Dogan said the partnership with LMI is an opportunity to develop our fans through a global audience and can open the door to sponsored contracts.

“It was in the right place at the right time,” he said.

“We liked what they saw and we decided that they were suitable for our club,” he said.

Although Harborg lost 2-1 to St. Ives at the Southern Premier League midfield, Ollar said his group “very happy” with their experience.

“It was definitely the best journey we had so far,” he said.

“We occupied a complete stand and we started screaming from the first second of the game,” he added.

“All local fans participated in us, and we even taught some slogans in Spanish.

“We haven’t stopped supporting the team for the whole game,” he said.

Álvaro Sanzi, 31, traveled from Spain to watch the game on Saturday.

Before the game, residents look at the nice time that two Spanish immigrants arrived in the town center before going around Spanish songs before the game starts.

Mr. Ollart said: “It wasn’t just any club. You would feel like our club.

“After the game, we were able to see the players and even have a drink with them in the pub, that’s something that is impossible to imagine at a Premier League club.

“We wanted to make sure the trip was an opportunity to make contact with their fans.

“There are many things to work on and strengthen it, but I’m sure there are many great memories that I will create in the future and I hope to bring 200-300 fans with me again.

“Many football fans are looking for this experience and we are happy to do that with Harber and Town.

“It was a great day and the weather they created was very excellent,” Bez President Pitt Dogan said.

“It was like a tennis song in the stadium. Our fans sang in English and then sang in Spanish. It was a good joy.

Dogan said he hoped to welcome his new fans next season and revealed that the club would move to Barcelona and Madrid on a journey in July.
