Celtic coach Brendan Rodgers has defended Adam Ida and attacked people who are trying to “reap” in a video of the attacker throwing the attacker with a taxi on social media.
Rodgers has revealed that the 24-year-old Irishman called him on a holiday on Thursday to explain the situation.
Celtic president says there is no doubt that Eda is a “great professional young man” and sad he heard that he was photographed a night after Wednesday.
“There is a sorrow for him,” Rodgers said. “He knows where I am in terms of the group, he knows where I am in terms of focus and mentality.
“The sad thing for me is that a 24-year-old football player cannot lose his hair at an empty time without anyone trying to shoot him.
“I think this is a challenge to the people in general now, but especially if you are a young football player, you will see it.
“I’ve got a complete story. I have no doubt that he is a great professional young man.
Celtic will face St. Joneston in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at Celtic Celtic and Rodgers says Eda will be willing to play.
He also said the type of environment players are in contact with “must be guarded.
“Unfortunately, that’s the way of the world,” Celtic president added.
“People may go to sign a signature or video, and then some jokes come in and say something else in the video.
“Then people ask, why don’t the players don’t make a video? Why doesn’t they sign them? Why are they passing in a car? Because you’re trying to reveal them.
“So why do they take the dangers then? Are they just going by a car or not just annoying themselves? Which is a tragic thing because children want to sign their things and anything else?
“That’s the place we live. Only we have to live with it.
