Tendal’s assistant says ‘In the best hands’

Newcastle United says the club’s manager is ‘in the best hand’ while recovering from pneumonia in hospital.

The 47-year-old won 4-1 against Manchester United on Sunday and missed Wednesday against Crystal Palace, without giving a deadline for his return.

Jason Tendal’s assistant will take responsibility for the club in St. James’ park.

“We know he is in the best hand and as soon as he feels he is ready to return 100 percent to lead the team,” he said.

“Of course, your health is the most important thing, and that’s why it’s so important that when he decides to return, he comes back and is able to lead his team as if he is outside the day.

“We have mentioned some short letters together yesterday. The most important thing for the manager is to rest and recover and you may not be too worried about anything except to make sure he will recover quickly.

“I hope we can be here as a leader as soon as possible, but only when 100% have the right to do so.

Newcastle finished third in the Premier League in third place in Nottingham Forest and won on Wednesday, but Palace is in a competitive for themselves after they obtained a good form.

“We don’t think about anything except preparing for tomorrow’s night to perform at the level we know we need to deliver to be good to win the game,” Tindel said.

“We know that Crystal Palace is in a imaginary form. Saturday was only their second defeat on the way in 15 games.

“But if we can go out and present the shows as the weekend, we hope that it will go a long way to help us get the points we want.
