2030 World Cup: South America proposes a broad 64 team tournament

A official proposal for the 2030 men’s 2030 men’s World Cup to 64 teams has been made by the South American Administration Board Conmebol.

The tournament is being held by Spain, Morocco and Portugal after the start of the match in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The 2026 World Cup will be their first game for 48 teams, but Conomybol wants to be broader to 2030 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the competition.

“This allows all countries to have the opportunity to live world experience and so no one should be left outside the party,” Konmebol chairman Alejandro Domingz told the Body Congress.

“We are convinced that the 100th anniversary will be its own, because only once 100 years will be celebrated.

The idea was the first FIFA meeting in March by the president of the Uruguayan Football Federation, Ignacio Alonso, “self-drawed.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who attended Thursday’s Conmmbool Conference, highlighted the “Unorridor Certificate” representing the 2030 tournament.
