Ruben Amurim says he has made a mistake as Manchester United manager this season.
Onna was accused of both Lyon’s two goals in the Europa League draw on Thursday – a day after being named “one of the worst goalkeepers in United by former Red Devils midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Since the beginning of last season, Onna has made eight mistakes to score in all competitions, the most games in each goalkeeper who plays for a Premier League club.
“If you look at the season, I’ve made a mistake of them in the last game and in recent months,” he said.
“There is nothing to tell Andre at this moment to help, so the most important thing is to be natural and then when it’s time to choose the best shield to play. But I really trust Andre.
United in Lyon’s second leg at Old Trafford next Thursday (20:00 BST).

When asked if he still believed in his goalkeeper, Amurim told TNT Sport: “We continue to do the same. Training, watching games, trying to choose the best eleven to win every game.
