Virgil van Dijk says he has made progress in talks with Liverpool on a new deal.
The Dutch players’ current contract expires at the end of the season, as well as the Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah.
Alexander Arnold is expected to move to Real Madrid in a free transfer, but Van Dick and Salah have clearly stated they want to stay at Anfield.
Last month, Van Deck said he had “no idea” if he was supposed to stay at the club, but he offered more positive assessment of how things stopped when they talked after yesterday’s 3-2 defeat to Fulham.
“There is progress, yes,” he told reporters.
“I don’t know (if I stayed), we see. Listen, these are internal conversations and we see.

Liverpool fans have been disappointed at the Reds captain to stay
Liverpool fans have resoned for Van Dick and Salah to stay, with former Celtic midfielder and Southampton saying the amazing is two-sided.
“I love the club, I love the fans and they were there again and we wanted to reward them,” he said.
“But I want to be there on Sunday (at home for West Ham United) and make the stadium an amazing place as always.

Fulham was ‘unacceptable’ – Van Dik
Liverpool have lost their first defeat at Craven Cocken in the Premier League this season, with Van Dijk appearing unrest.
But they still sit 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League, but they remain hard to lift the trophy.
“It was a poor day in the office for all of us,” Van Dick said.
– There was an individual moment that should have been treated better. It was not accepted as a team.
“The first half we scored a big goal, but we allowed them to go back to the game with Sloppein on our own and these things shouldn’t happen,” he said.
“Obviously, the second half we went one-1-of. We quickly tried to get the second goal, we had much more danger.
“In the first half, you can’t argue with the result, we have received it on the armpit and you will try to beat West Ham next week.
