Brentford coach Thomas Frank has described the club’s World Cup as “journed” before the new format is launched this summer.
The tournament, which has been renewed among the continents, will be held from a seven-team to one of the 32-member race in June.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are among those competing in the initial edition.
The competition proved that after the plan was announced for the first time and a little more than two months from the beginning, when he faced Inter Miami on June 15, more than two months.
“That’s always happening,” Frank said after a draw with Chelsea at the GTECH.
“Once I had this season when we had the least break between the games when we played in the Carabao Cup and played with teams that had bigger squads.
“Then there is a bigger conversation about the amount of games in a year – but it’s not for us and more for European teams.
“It’s just because it’s another tournament. Who wants? No one.
“No, I’m enjoying my summer. No chance (I’m looking at it,” Frank replied.
Chelsea have made a series of changes to their team faced by Brentford, who remembered Thursday’s trip to Poland to face Legia Warsaw in the quarter-finals of the conference.
