On Monday, FIFA announced that it was considering a final game of Laffc and Mexico for the right to replace Lyon.
CAS’s action continues for a different appeal by the Asociacion Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (LDA), which says one or both of Lyon and Pachuka should be removed.
LDA is demanding that they be admitted in the competition as the next club. The case will be heard on April 23 in Madrid.
Lyon was drawn in a group with Chelsea, SET and Flamengo.
The World Cup kicks off on June 14 and the final on July 13 in New Jersey.
