Trump’s top adviser Elon Musk visited the Pentagon on Friday for controversial information after several US media outlets said they would be given a general view of US plans in the event of a war with China.
“China will not even be discussed,” Trump said.
Musk himself called for the prosecution of officials who in whom he said “bad lies information” leaked to the New York Times newspaper, which he first told the story.
But the Pentagon’s visit represented the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, whose companies have billions of dollars in federal defense contracts.
While Musk asked about the meeting at around 10:21 local time (14:41 World Time) on Friday.
“It’s always a big meeting. I’m here before, you know,” he said before he left the Pentagon.
The public people who came before and back follows a New York Times report that Musk will learn about China’s war plans during his visit at the Pentagon.
But NBC News and Politico later said the Pentagon meeting did not contain category.
An unnamed US official told Reuters the meeting would be a general view of several issues that include China.
Trump said the New York Times “incorrectly, that Elon Musk will go to the Pentagon tomorrow to be informed of any ‘war with China’. How ridiculous? It is not even mentioned and not mentioned. How shameful it is that unprecedented media can form such lies. Anyway, the story is completely untrue!!!”
“This is not a meeting on ‘Chinese War’s Plans’ Plans’, an informal meeting on innovation, efficiency and smarter production,” Secretary of Defense Pitt Hegeses said in a post on X.
Musk’s visit to the Pentagon is investigating the conflict of possible interests.
Starlink and SpaceX, two masked companies, have contracts with the Ministry of Defense. Tesla, an electric car, has two facilities in Shanghai, China.
Since Trump returned to the White House, Mask, as the so-called head of the government’s efficient ministry, has led an external attempt to cut government spending aggressively by cutting budgets and shooting.
