Liberal candidate Paul Chiang in the Toronto region in the Toronto region just hours after RCMP told CBC News, he left the race and told CBC News whether he had broken the law or not, proposing to replace people who run close to the Chinese consulate.

Liberal President Mark Carney announced Monday that Chiang could stay on it after apologizing for “insist-in-law comments” and “with scary.
The pressures have been set by the opposition and more than 40 organizations asking for Karny to immediately reduce Chiang and police investigate him.
Chiang, a former police officer, called her statements “unfortunate” after reports that she suggested to Chinese language media at a press conference in January that people could hand over Tai to the Chinese consulate for a reward by police in Hong Kong.

Tai runs a YouTube channel that promotes democracy and freedom of speech, and is the founder of the Hong Kong NGO, based in Canada.

Tae also spoke online and said he had not accepted Chiang’s apology and contacted RCMP for personal protection.
Carney defended Chiang as a ‘integrity person’
Hong Kong Watch, a non-governmental organization on human rights issues, wrote a letter to the RCMP commission on Monday calling for a police investigation to see if Chiang had broken the law.
Activist Gloria Fog also said the police wanted to know whether Chiang’s behavior had violated any clauses related to foreign intervention laws.
Chiang won in 2021 and said he had served his community with his “tighter commitment to the safety of the people and the protection of our country’s values.
“Every day, I worked with integrity and worked to convey the results to the people of my community,” Chiang wrote in X magazine.
CBC News asked the Karni campaign to comment and has not yet received an answer. Previously, the Liberal leader defended Chiang as a “integrity person” of a former police officer and “serving his community for more than a quarter of a century.
