Brununz admits his owner’s partner that ‘Great and Miss’ with Deshaw Watson

Palm Beach, Florida – Jimmy Hassam, Cleveland Brununz’s partner, called the team’s deal for Quarterback Dison Watson “a big and lost sword.

In March 2022, Cleveland Watson received the Houston Texas in a commercial package that included three teams. Browns then signed Watson and signed a $230 million deal that was fully guaranteed.

Since joining Brownz, Watson has made just 19 games with an arson and injuries, one of the minimum minimum scoring in NFL and suffered a strained in 2023 and 2024 with a hamstring injury that ends the season.

“We had a big sword with Deson,” Hassem said at the annual meeting on Monday. “We thought we had quarbacks; we didn’t do it. We left many options to deliver it, so we have to dig ourselves in that hole.

“… (Commercial) was a complete organizational decision and ends with Haslam and I, so hold us accountable.

Watson, who was three times with Texas, Protol, tore the right Akels in October and a second operation in January after he turned off the Xixis again. Brownz says Watson is expected to lose a significant portion of the 2025 season.

His legal problems have helped to get his artistic life out of Cleveland out of the path. Watson was sentenced to 11 games in 2022, after more than two women accused of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior during massage. A pair of the Texas Great swearing-in-in-laws refused to commit crimes against Watson, but he served his suspension after NFL and the NFL players reached an agreement on his discipline.

Cleveland still owes Watson $46 million in the next two seasons.

The Browns quarterback room currently consists of Watson and Kenny Pecket, which the team dealt with in mid-March. Brownz coach Kevin Stefansky has revealed that Pecket will get an opportunity to start in

Despite acknowledging that Watson’s business was unsuccessful, Haslam said the team had nothing to do with the quarterback acquisition with the second general team in the NFL 2025 draft.

“It would be very good if we could get ‘Quarterback’, but we won’t force it,” Haslam said. “We will be patient and try to bring as many football players as possible as possible as much as possible.
