Authorities said three members of the family were killed after a tree in Michigan hit their car while a strong storm was cut off.
Three other people were injured and one in a difficult condition. The incident occurred on Sunday in the town of Climax, about 130 miles (209 kilometers) west of Detroit.
Calamazo County was under a strong warning of a strong thunderstorm in the national service at the time, one of several days on Sunday south of Michigan.

In Valparaiso, Indiana, investigators believe the crucified wind flew over a tractor on Sunday afternoon and killed the driver. The Porter County police said in a statement that the vehicle was traveling on the property of Prat Indestreyz when the incident occurred. The driver, Jagbir Singh, 34, from Ontario, Canada, was found outside the passenger room and died of his injuries.
A warehouse in Elchard, Indiana, was destroyed by Sunday’s storms. There was no wounded. WSBT-TV has reported.
WSMV-TV reported that the damage caused by storms in several provinces in Tennessee, including Mauri and Hamperi provinces. Chris Davis, Hamperiz Province, has announced the damage across the province, including a ceiling taken from a house. The owners were trapped inside, but they were not injured.
