Washington – Alex Oveçkin has five goals in breaking the NHL record of 890th in Washington Capital’s 8-5 defeat to Buffolo Sabres.
Washington captain Ovechekin, who led to a Renaissance season with the capitals in the top of the Eastern Conferences, reached the network’s lead and the Rasmus Sandan beat James Rimer to attract the capitals for two goals at 9:11 in the third round.
He wasn’t in the best souls, but after the game. They are as comfortable as the leading 11 points in the big league, but Capital has lost three goals in a row as he approaches after the season.
“Now, after being asked the number 890, we lost three in a row. It’s a good thing that happens right now and not in the ranks, but we just have to go back and find a way to win the games.
Washington coach Spencer Carberg did not react after the defeat.
“We achieved what it deserved tonight,” he said. “It’s not who we are.
Ovechekin, 39, is left at speeds to pass the 894 Greater 894 sign, a record that seemed not to approach. He has scored 37 goals this season and has scored for the 14th time, and has the most goals in the history of the league, despite being sitting out of 16 games due to a fracture fracture.
“It’s a crazy number again,” said Washington striker Alaxi Protas. “I don’t think I’ll ever get that, even in NHL 25 (vividal games) … he is looking for something special.
But, in the end, the day was Sabres. Alex Tuc and Tyg Tompson each scored twice each, as Buffalo won only the 31st time this season.
“We were fighting to stay in that game. We didn’t like any of the six main players tonight,” Carberg said. “It’s not just looked very beautiful. Their basic numbers in our last two games haven’t been very good in our six games.
Ovechekin continues to follow up on Gretsky on Tuesday when the capitals visit Boston Bruynes.
