Harry Kane has said he will see himself as a real chance of winning the Ballon d’Or of future men, adding his “Aura” because a player has improved after joining Bayern Munich.
The 31-year-old, who is the top scorer in England, has scored 32 goals and has 11 assists in 37 appearances for Bayern in all competitions this season, helping the German giants to be top of the Premier League.
While no English player has won in 2001 after former Liverpool striker Michael Owen, Kane believes his chances of winning the men’s main football prize have risen for a move for Bayern in August
“Being alone at a club like Bayern Munich has helped to push me more, in terms of trust and responsibility,” Kane told reporters ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifiers against Albania.
“I feel like I’m definitely better, I’m better. My ‘Aurora’ may be a little more respectful as a player in the past, because you are playing in big games, big nights.
“I seem to be more respectful in terms of respect around the world, on the bigger stage. For something like that, you have to win the cup of the team to be considered and you might score 40 goals, but that’s a possibility this season.
Kane said the successful things that score goals are always appreciated, but they are very motivated as they used to.
“It’s like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi threw these crazy numbers there and scored 40 goals next season, like having a bad season,” Kane said.
“People see it as normal and maybe a little with England. I have scored 69 goals and when you score against Albania or Latvia, or these teams, people just wait for that, so it’s not talked about.
“If I’m 25 years old and I’ve done what I’m doing, the arousals around me may be slightly different from now. That’s part of what we’re with football… People may just be tired of what you do, but I’m definitely tired.
