British police have helped arrest a submarine carrying 6.5 tons of cocaine to Europe, one of its largest drugs.
The ship left Brazil when it was captured by the Portuguese police in the Atlantic Ocean, 500 miles south of the Azzorlands.
Five members of the plane were arrested in Brazil, Colombia and Spain and transferred to the Portuguese Island.
Officials said the submarine was worth £530 million, while a Portuguese newspaper said it was one of the largest people ever made to transport the drug from South America to Europe.
“Rakakers were planning to collect drugs off the coast to use quick and smuggled ships to the coast,” the Spanish company’s Guardia said in a statement.
Spanish authorities, who beat Portuguese people, say it was the first time that a semi-surfaceed drug run by drugs has been prevented in the Open.

“The Trans-Atlean movement is increasing, with many cases in recent years,” said Guardia. “These ships are difficult to diagnose and often have a lot of cocaine… The team can easily sink them if they are caught, making it more difficult to take the drugs as evidence of the crime.
Europe’s largest cocaine market since the United States has begun hundreds of home-made submarines for the continent since the practice rose two decades ago.
In 2019, the discovery of a submarine with 3.3 tons of cocaine off the coast of Spain was described by police as the first “Narco-ground” that was prevented in Europe.
The latest body, called Operation Natilos, was also the Portuguese Air Force, the British National Criminal Agency, the US Drugs Executive Directorate (DAA) and the Maritime Analysis and Operations Center based in Lisbon, which is part of Britain.
Portuguese police chief Louis Neves said the operation was “a strong blow to a very strong organization.
