Maryland police investigators on the death case of a state prisoner at the Eastern Institute of Rojhelat in Somersett, Wester.
Here is what we know now.
The prisoner, Shain Lahnami, 28, was declared dead by emergency medical staff. He was a prison prisoner at the East Correctional Institute.

A suspect, also a prisoner, has been identified. He has not been accused at this time and has been introduced to further investigation.
On Saturday, March 29, the murder unit of the Maryland police was contacted by investigators at the Public Safety and Internal Correctional Department of the Internal Investigation Unit regarding the death of a prisoner. Preliminary investigations indicate that Lahamim was in one cell with another prisoner lying on the ground and is not responsible by officers at the Eastern Institute. Lanham was declared dead by emergency medical staff.

Maryland police investigators responded to the scene with technical technicians at the Department of forensic Medicine.
As it is completed, the investigation will be submitted to the Somerset Prosecutor’s Office for review. The investigation is active and continuous.
