Maron, who turns 37 next month, made the announcement in a pre-match interview before he and Chicago Blackhocks play in their hometown, St. Louis Blues.
“Sometimes, you have to give up everything you know and all the things you have dreamed of throughout your life,” Maron told Darren Pangi. “I just know I know it’s time for me and it’s time for my family to go and start a new page in our lives.
